Meet Ms. Sarah

Meet Ms. Sarah owner and Provider of Moving Munchkins Daycare.

One of my favorite things about being a teacher is to be able to teach the kids new things and see how far they have grown through out the year. Whether it is helping a infant learn how to walk and or teaching one of my toddlers their ABCS's.

I am excited to get to know you and your family!

Some Fun Facts About Me:

  • I am CPR and first aide certified and keeping my certificate up to date every two years
  • I can provide letters of recommendation and references upon request
  • I have a letter from the state of maine saying that I am eligible to provide childcare. My background and finger printing was completed
  • I am required by the state to complete 12 hours of trainings and with my previous childcare experience I have previous trainings completed
  • My childcare experience includes being a lead toddler teacher in a classroom caring for 10 toddlers daily with the help of my co-teacher! I did this for almost 3 years until my family and I decided to move to Bangor! ! I was also a nanny to two girls one day a week for over a year!
  • In my free time I love to travel, watch a disney movie, read a book and play with my kids
  • I have alopecia which is a auto immune disease and I wear wigs usually for special occasions
  • The best way to describe me as a teacher is that I am in it for the outcome not the income.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you licensed?

Yes. I am a fully licensed childcare provider committed to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for every child in my care. I follow all state licensing requirements and continuously strive to provide high quality care that gives parents peace of mind.

  • Do you have a waitlist?

If I do not currently have any openings available, I am happy to add your child to my waitlist. Availability can change throughout the year, so I encourage families to reach out directly to inquire about current openings and future enrollment opportunities.

  • Do you have any pets?

Yes. We have two friendly cats named Jack and Matilda who are part of our family. They are accustomed to being around children and help create a warm, home-like environment.

  • What are your hours?

I am open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Please note that I am closed on the first Friday of every month to allow time for planning, professional development, and maintaining a high quality childcare program.

  • How do you communicate with parents?

I believe strong communication is an important part of quality childcare. I use Brightwheel to keep parents connected throughout the day by sharing updates, messages, photos, and important information about their child's activities, meals, milestones, and daily experiences.

  • Do you take vacation time?

Yes. I take 2 paid vacation periods each year to rest, recharge, and continue providing the highest quality care possible. Families receive a full yearly calendar with all scheduled vacation dates in advance, allowing plenty of time to make alternative childcare arrangements when needed.

  • Do you take personal or sick days?

Yes. As an in home childcare provider, there may be times when I need to take personal or sick days throughout the year. I may use up to 10 paid personal or sick days annually. If an unexpected illness, emergency, or other circumstance requires me to close, I will notify families as early as possible so they can make alternative care arrangements. My priority is always to communicate promptly while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all children in my care.
