Hi! I’m Sarah, the owner and provider of Moving Munchkins Daycare!
Caring for young children has always been something I truly enjoy. One of my favorite parts of being a childcare provider is watching children learn new skills, gain confidence, and grow throughout the year. I love creating a warm, home-like environment where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn through play.
Before opening Moving Munchkins Daycare, I spent nearly three years as a lead toddler teacher, caring for a classroom of 10 toddlers alongside my co-teacher. I also worked as a nanny before my family and I moved to Bangor.
As a mom myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your child. My goal is for families to feel comfortable knowing their little one is spending the day in a nurturing environment filled with play, learning, outdoor time, friendships, and lots of fun.

A Place to Learn, Play & Grow
At Moving Munchkins Daycare, children are encouraged to learn, play, explore, and grow in a warm, home-like environment. Our days include age-appropriate learning activities,, creative play, books, outdoor time, and opportunities to build friendships and independence.
With a small group setting and individualized care, my goal is to provide a place where every child feels safe, loved, supported, and excited to come each day.

Full-time care is prioritized. Part-time enrollment may be available depending on current openings.
Infant Care: 3 months- 12 months
I provide loving and attentive care for infants in a safe and comfortable setting. I work closely with families to follow each baby's feeding, sleeping, and developmental routines while offering plenty of cuddles, interaction, and age-appropriate stimulation.
Toddler Care: 1-4 years old
Toddlers are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow through hands-on activities, play-based learning, and social interaction. Daily routines help foster independence, confidence, and important developmental skills while ensuring plenty of fun along the way.

Do you have a waitlist?
Yes. When enrollment is full, families are welcome to join the waitlist. Joining the waitlist does not gurantee enrollment. Families will be contacted as openings become available.
Do you have any pets?
Yes. I have two friendly cats named Jack and Matilda who are part of our family. They are accustomed to being around children and help create a warm, home-like environment.
What are your hours?
Moving Munchkins Daycare is open Monday- Friday from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with scheduled closures through out the year.
How do you communicate with parents?
I believe strong communication is an important part of quality childcare. I use Brightwheel to keep parents connected throughout the day by sharing updates, messages, photos, and important information about their child's day. Families are always welcome to reach out with questions or concerns.
Do you take vacation time?
Yes. Moving Munchkins Daycare has scheduled vacation days and closures throughout the year. Families receive a yearly closures calendar in advance so they have plenty of time to plan for alternate care. Additional closures due to illness, emergencies or unforeseen cicrumstances will be communicated as soon as possible.
Do you take personal or sick days?
Yes. As an in home childcare provider, there may be times when I need to take personal or sick days throughout the year. I may use up to 10 paid personal or sick days annually. If an unexpected illness, emergency, or other circumstance requires me to close, I will notify families as early as possible so they can make alternative care arrangements. My priority is always to communicate promptly while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all children in my care.
Do you provide part time care:
At this time, Moving Munchkins Daycare offers full-time care only. While part-time and drop-in care are not currently available, families are always welcome to join our waitlist for future full-time openings.
How much outdoor time do children get?
Children typically enjoy 1-2 hours of outdoor play each day, weather permitting. Outdoor time includes free play, gross-motor activties, nature exploration, and seasonal activities.
What ages do you serve?
Moving Munchkins Daycare provides care for children ages 6 months through 4 years old. Our program offers a nurturing, play- based environment designed to support each child as they learn, grow and explore.
What is your tuition?
Tuition rates vary based on the age of the child. Please contact Moving Munchkins Daycare or submit an inquiry for current tuition rates and availability.
Do children have a nap time?
Yes. A daily rest period is part of our routine. Children are encouraged to rest during naptime, and children who wake early may quietly look at books or play with designated nap-time toys while their friends continue to sleep.
Are meals and snacks provided?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided each day at no additional cost. Meals are planned to offer a variety of nutritious, age-appropriate foods and follow food program guidelines.
Do you assist with toilet training?
Yes! I'm happy to support toilet training when your child is showing signs of readiness. I work closely with families to keep routines consisten between home and daycare and make the process positive and encouraging for each child.
What is your illness policy?
To help keep everyone healthy, children who are sick or showing symptoms of a contagious illness may need to remain home. Families will be contacted if a child becomes ill while in care. Please refer to the parent handbook for specific symtoms,exclusions periods, and return-to-care guidelines.
How do I schedule a tour?
Tours are available by appointment. Please submit an inquiry through our website and I'll reach out to schedule a virtual or in-person tour and answer any questions you may have.
